The Club has been providing Acoustic music every Thursday Since 2011. New for 2017, we are based at the Crindau Constitutional Club, 45 Malpas Rd, NP20 5PJ Newport, Gwent.  The Club is about 150 metres from J26 of the M4 on the Newport side.  The Club entrance is on Goodrich Crescent

There is usually ample parking in the surrounding streets, but get there early on guest nights and please be considerate of the local residents.

We welcome ALL acoustic instruments and musical styles and players from beginners to virtuosos.  We are not averse to a bit of poetry or purple prose  either. Come along to play or just listen to others.

We use the Function Room upstairs and the atmosphere is terrific, whether there's just a few of us or a packed house.  Come along and find out for yourself!.

Sadly, we have had to cease our six-year association with the Lyceum Tavern that gave us our name (www.lyceum-tavern.co.uk), as we are no longer able to make use of their Function Room.

We charge 2.00 on the door, except when we have a Guest Artist.
Check here for prices.

Doors open 8pm on Guest Nights

and 8:30pm on Singer's Nights.

Please see our Links page to access other Folk-, Music- and Dance-related websites and find Live music venues and Festivals.

The Club is also on FaceBook.  Our page is managed by one of the Club regulars.  He is also called Trevor, and is a proper Welshman from here in Newport, unlike me, although I've lived here longer than I did where I grew up.  Please check it out for an alternative view on what the club is about.
