COVID-19 restrictions have pretty much been lifted, but we would ask people to continue to take reasonable precautions and stay away if they have cold or flu-like symptoms, especially on Guest Nights when we tend to sit a bit closer together. It's up to you if you want to bring your own mic or wear a mask.

Now 2024 is coming ot a close, and we have hosted our last guest of the year, it's time for reflection. We began with a visit from Zoom Friend Terry Hiscox, who provided us with excellent entertainment. Next came Seb Stone, followed by George Sansome & Matt Quinn in March. April saw a great performance from Jack Dawgs, followed by a spotlight on Andrew Mckay and Carole Etherton. In May, we had Wynford Jones and Geoff Cripps with an eclectic mix of songs including some from the Chartists' legacy. June brought us Dave Gibb all the way from Bonny Scotland and he entertained us with his unique humour and fablus guitar playing. The stellar performances continued with Jerry French in July. August brought the welcome return of Pete Harris: Sadly without Mick Ryan, who has been advised to stop singing for the time being. Planning for success, we have invited Mick and Pete back next May, by which time Mick should be fully recovered. Not wishing to let us down, Pete brought along Jon Vaughan along and we had a great night. Tom McConville kicked off our Autumn programme in September and was in fine form. Our North East of England theme continued with a visit from Bob Fox, and another Club favourite Anthony John Clarke went dowen a storm in November. Our Decemberguests were the Jake Leg Jug Band, giving us an excellent finale for 2024
Looking forward to 2025, we start off in January with another band: the Rob Lear Band, followed in February by a welcome return of State of the Union: the first of two collaborations featuring Club Favourite, Brooks Williams, this time working with Boo Hewerdine.
Check out our Facebook page for more detailed reviews of our guests and Singer's Nights. Click the link below for other guests we have booked for 2024. Don't forget our next Zoomaround and we still have Singer's nights on the weeks we don't have guests.
Through our Zoomarounds, we have made so many new friends that might not have visited the club otherwise. As a result, we will continue hosting Zoomarounds on the Third Tuesday of every month so that they don't interfere with our live Club Nights. You can download the Zoom app to pretty much any device. Click on the button below to download the App for your device from the Zoom website.
Once you have Zoom working on your device, Join us in the meeting room using the number below (no passcode required). Please Make sure that your Zoom profile lets everyone know who you are and join us about 15 minutes before the Scheduled Start Time to indroduce yourself to Ruth if you wish to perform. For everyone's benefit, please keep your microphone muted when other people are performing.
If you are joining us after the 8:30 p.m. Start Time, please ensure that you leave your microphone muted to avoid disturbing anyone who is performing at the time you join. We prefer to see everyone's face, but if you are feeling a bit self-conscious, by all means switch off your video feed and just listen.
We welcome ALL acoustic instruments and musical styles and players from beginners to virtuosos, whether you wrote it yourself or borrowed it from someone else. We are not averse to a bit of poetry or purple prose either. Come along to play or just listen to others. We use the Function Room upstairs and the atmosphere is terrific. Come along and find out for yourself!
